Hi Marketer. As you know, it's essential to stand out and capture the attention of your target audience. Sometimes that means using your own pet to make an ad.

Dogs are a common household pet, and many people can relate to their experiences. By featuring dogs in ads, marketers can make their brand or product more relatable to their audience.

Or, maybe I'm talking about dogs because I have been watching loads of dog memes lately. Anyway, let’s talk about ads.

E-COMMERCE

Waterproof sneaker ad

If you want to see the full ad for TropicFeel, you can look it up here.

This product raised $8,000,000 on Kickstarter and is marketed as ‘sneakers for travellers’.

The ad directly states the problem of wet socks and presents the solution of waterproof sneakers so they have addressed the problem and solution pretty well.

Travellers often need lightweight and compact gear, and waterproof sneakers fit that description. The brand used all the buzzwords (comfy, waterproof, durability etc) related to travellers which is what you want from an ad.

B2B

Consultancy agency ad

If you want to see the full ad for Charlie Morgan, you can look it up here.

The ad addresses the pain points with questions (like ‘how much do you think you will save?’)of agency owners, consultants, and coaches struggling with lead generation.

It highlights the challenges they face, such as rising costs and inconsistent results from traditional methods. The use of strong language and a clear call to action makes it compelling and persuasive.

The ad is clearly aimed at agency owners, consultants, and coaches who rely on a steady flow of leads.

SERVICE BASED

Dog hook agency ad

This ad had an interesting hook. I think what stood out for me was the dog eating the business ‘proposal’.

He got his dog to nibble on the proposal and he took that opportunity to pitch his agency - boom you’ve got yourself an ad.
